The Center of Nursing Excellence
A workforce initiative of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center
The Halifax Educational Foundation, Inc (HEF) and the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center (HEC) are collaborating to make The Center of Nursing Excellence (CNE) a reality in Southern Virginia. The instituions were awarded $511,885 and $158,000 respectively by the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission (Tobacco Commission) to create the CNE.
The Center of Nursing Excellence will provide nursing education and training for all levels within the nursing profession under one roof. In addition, the CNE will serve as a regional hub for existing nursing higher education partners to collaborate in the development and implementation of multiple levels of nursing education and training.
