- To develop the arts and design to effect positive economic, cultural, and social change in Southern
Virginia
- To collaborate with educational providers, community outreach centers, artists, foundations, and
industry partners to prepare a creative workforce
- To establish educational and community pathways to build and retain the creative workforce of
tomorrow
- To secure the region's economic viability and sustainability for tomorrow
- To respond to the changing workforce needs of the business communities
